Summary
Our client, who supports customers in highly regulated and critically clean environments is seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator & Supervisor to lead and optimize MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory operations. This role blends leadership and hands-on execution and is ideal for someone who is confident interfacing with stakeholders and leadership while also remaining actively engaged in day-to-day inventory work. The right candidate leads by example, is detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily MRO inventory operations, including receiving, storage, issuing, and replenishment of critical spare parts and supplies
- Supervise and support inventory personnel, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to operational standards
- Remain hands-on in daily warehouse and inventory activities, leading by example
- Receive incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality, and ensure accurate system transactions and put-away
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and demand-based replenishment strategies
- Ensure timely picking, packing, and staging of materials to meet internal and customer service level expectations
- Utilize ERP/WMS systems to track inventory, analyze trends, and improve stock accuracy and control
- Develop and enforce inventory processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, procurement, and external vendors to support MRO requirements
- Support on-site service needs and occasional local deliveries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, workflow efficiency, and cost control
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or MRO/spare parts environments
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational work
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, including cycle counting and reconciliation
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP or similar strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Professional presence with the ability to represent the operation confidently in front of internal stakeholders and customers
- Team-oriented mindset with a "lead from the floor" approach
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Valid driver's license required; forklift certification or experience is a plus
